It was quite a moment when I heard back from the school administrator that Save Our Cure was allowed to operate in St.Michaels University School (SMUS), a private day and boarding school in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The process isn’t actually long and tedious, but I have to state that I am not the most productive person in the months before I sat down with SMUS’ administrators. Setting up all the appointments, schedules, and logistics seemed like an impossible task for me to do alone, so I ended putting Save Our Cure back in my mind. It wasn’t until after reading more alarming reports coupled with a 3 AM motivation that I got back to work.
SMUS’ extremely supportive staffs allowed us several grade 11 PE course spots to host our sessions; however, we are far from relaxing. Our SMUS sessions still need an/several educator(s) to and we still need to arrange the schedules for the Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) survey. There are lots of things to do, but the alarming reports from Pro-med and Nature are enough to keep me motivated.
I will see you at the next step of our mission.
